Senior Dan Gillette had a monster day at the plate for the Lowell Catholic baseball team on Wednesday.

He went 3-for-3, with a home run and 2 doubles, knocked in 3 runs and scored 3 runs to propel Lowell Catholic to an impressive 13-0 win over St. Clement.

In a Dual County League thriller, Bedford nipped Concord-Carlisle, 6-5. Elsewhere, Pinkerton Academy edged Alvirne in NHIAA action, 7-6.

Crusaders' (5-0) senior Tom Cahalene went 5 innings for the win, allowing 4 hits and 2 walks while fanning 6.

Matt Franchi went 3-for-4 at the plate with 3 RBI. Aaron Crandall and Jesse Caisse each had 2 hits and drove in 2 runs and 3 runs, respectively.

Acton-Boxboro's Dylan Caldwell hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning that scored Nick Clabault (single).

Both Acton-Boxboro's Davis Fallon and Westford's Luc LeBleu went the distance on the mound. Fallon, a senior right-hander, over 7 innings allowed 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out one. Westford's run came on a solo homer by Ryan Pocock in the second inning that tied the score 1-1.

Acton-Boxboro improved to 4-1.
