BOSTON -- Ryan McKennedy of Lowell High and Jake Barnacle of Lowell Catholic High School were chosen as a 2014 Hobey Baker High School Character Award Recipients.
Each year, local high school hockey players are honored with the Hobey Baker High School Character Award. Sponsored by Warrior Hockey and The Sports Museum and supported by high school coaches in Massachusetts, this award is presented to the boy or girl on each participating high school team that most exemplifies the values and traits of Hobey Baker himself: Character, Commitment, Teamwork, Persistence, Selflessness, Academic Excellence and Sportsmanship.
Ninety student-athletes from across the state received the award this year. There was a cereny at TD Garden.
