The Chelmsford boys volleyball team swept a match against Merrimack Valley Conference foe Central Catholic on Friday.

Boys volleyball

The Lions won by scores of 25-14, 25-22 and 25-13.

Chelmsford 3

Junior middle hitter Matt Kuda had 12 kills and 3 blocks. Mike McCarthy (8 kills), Jackson Gamer (6 kills) and Michael Hohrath (5 kills) also played well.

For Central (0-3), Sean Maraghy earned 8 kills, while Jacob Francis collected 9 assists. Kyle Thing and Andrew Dagher picked up 27 and 13 digs, respectively.

Maraghy added 5 service points and Austin Corrieri had 2 aces.

Lowell Catholic 3

Greater Lowell 0

Lowell Catholic swept the match (25-20, 25-16 and 25-14).

Brian Peterson had 13 kills, 7 digs, 5 aces and 2 blocks.

Jonathan Rosado had 27 assists, 2 digs, 2 aces and 1 block. Yi Shi had 9 kills and 5.5 blocks. Andrew Rogers added 10 digs and 5 aces.

Westford 3

Arlington 1

Brendan Ryan and Luke Moran had 16 and 15 kills, respectively, as Westford won 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 25-17.

Setters Pete Hurley and Kyle Pilachowski combined for 46 assists. Westford improved to 2-5.
