Tewksbury Red 39

The Dracut Boys 6th Grade Travel Basketball Team took down Tewksbury Red after a shaky first half ended with the Middies down 29-27. The small and short Tewksbury squad peppered Dracut with fine outside shooting and excellent passing as the Middies did not benefit from their enormous height advantage.

Cam McCullough's 21 points kept Dracut in this back-and-forth battle before a huge Josh Hastie three-pointer put the Middies up by double digits with three minutes to play. Aise Pream (11), Jeremy Gray (8), Michael Patterson (4), Colby Manzueta (3) and Jovan Aigbekaen (2) also scored in this comeback win. Kevin Carney (5), William Peters (3) and Jaeden Hylton (2) had rebounds with Mitchell Monette making 3 steals for the 7-2 Middies.

A strong and multi-talented North Andover squad knocked off the Dracut Boys 6th Grade Travel Basketball Team 57-30. The Middies fell behind early against the undefeated and defending Merrimack Valley League champs but fought hard to close a huge double-digit deficit to 9 points in the second half. Down 31-22, Dracut couldn't keep pace with the exceptional passing and finely tuned offensive attack from the Scarlet Knights. The boys tried their best in this one sided contest and look forward to improving their 7-3 record in the upcoming Pelham Christmas Tournament.

Erin McMeniman (5), Emily Cloutier (4), Olivia Pantano (2) and Julia Otoski (2) also tallied for the Lady Middies. Lindsey Emond (4) and Julianna Fagan collected rebounds as the squad sends out their best wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery to teammates Lilly King, who suffered a broken wrist and Erin McMeniman, who has a knee injury.
