The Suburban-ettes Baton Studio and Twirl team from Chelmsford competed at the recent Twirl Mania International Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Walt Disney World, Florida. This was the team's first appearance at the championships.

The Suburban-ettes placed in the Twirl Mania International Top 4 for Dance Twirl Team, the Top 5 for Pom Pom and the Top 10 for Halftime Show Twirl. The team competed against teams from all over the world. Individual soloists placed in the Top 5 Twirl Mania International Pageant. The Suburban-ettes also twirled down Main Street U.S.A., at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, in the "Spectacular Night Parade" as Disney honorary cast members. The team was one of the 500 twirlers chosen after many auditions. The Suburban-ettes twirled their hearts out with Cinderella's Castle lit up behind them as their Mickey ears twinkled in the night!
