"Everyone wants happiness. No one wants pain. But you can't have a rainbow without a little rain."

On the cold winter evening of Jan. 28, Easter Seals hosted an Evening of Recognition at the Burlington Marriott.

More than 100 Easter seals supporters, staff members and clients listened to inspirational and resilient young 16-year-old Julia Cobb and Army veteran Nicole MacRae.

Julia, a fashionista, is in eight dance groups. She received the Easter Seals Leaders of Tomorrow Award. According to her kind mom Christine, Julia is non-verbal and must communicate through an app on her phone.

Nicole received the Veterans Service after Service Award for exemplifying the qualities of teamwork, perseverance and personal courage. The Z-List salutes you both!
