Families in the Merrimack Valley will have the opportunity to bring a bit of the world into their own homes between Aug. 18-25 when an international cast of Up with People arrives on the first stop on its 2014 world tour.

Host families are being sought to keep one or more students from Up with People's 100-member cast and staff which represents 20 countries and more than 25 states.

Local host families are asked to provide a place to sleep, local transportation at the beginning and end of each day, as well as breakfast and most dinners. While gone during the day, participating in regional learning, community service and show preparation, most evenings cast members will be home with the family to participate in their activities and interests.

Each host family will receive two complimentary tickets to the Up with People Show which will be held at The Collins Center in Andover on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 21 and 22, at 7 p.m. Those interested in hosting can contact Amilee Bishop on the Merrimack Valley Advance Team at amilee.upwithpeople@gmail.com or by calling 303-515-1545

Up with People's visit to Merrimack Valley is sponsored by Circle Health, Local Rotary Clubs of the Merrimack Valley, and Salem Five Mortgage Services. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is the beneficiary of the show. For information, visit upwithpeople.org.
