LOWELL -- Police confirmed early Sunday morning they responded to shots fired on Hurd Street.
Lowell Police Capt. Kelly Richardson said at about 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. police responded to rounds going off on Hurd Street, in the area of Cappy's Copper Kettle on Central Street downtown. Richardson said no one was hit in the event.
Limited information was available Sunday afternoon.
Saturday night in Centralville, police also responded to guns going off near the intersection of Lakeview and Aiken avenues around 10 p.m. Police believe the shots were fired inside an apartment building at 754 Aiken Avenue. No one was reportedly injured in that incident and the building was evacuated.
