- Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer-- CBS, Tuesday, 8 p.m.
If CBS was really trying to kick off the Christmas season with a bang, it would follow this Rankin-Bass claymation classic with Santa Claus is Coming to Town and A Year Without A Santa Claus. But this is a good start.
- Boston's Finest -- TNT, Tuesday, 9 p.m.
Donnie Wahlberg's Boston cop reality show will tentatively premiere its second season on Tuesday night, after the death last week of one of the officers featured on the show, Pat Rogers. The opening episode will feature the officers working on July 4, still in the aftermath of the marathon bombings.
- The Making of "The Sound of Music Live" -- NBC, Wednesday, 8 p.m.
How do you watch the making of a live show ... before the live show is actually aired? It's like watching the Sound FX of an NFL game that hasn't been played yet.
By the way, this "The Sound of Music Live" event is an abomination. What, is Carrie Underwood going to sing a version of "Before He Cheats" about Rolfe and the Nazis?
- Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade -- NBC, Thursday, 9 a.m.
Man, how good is NBC's coverage of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? You've got Al Roker and up-close Broadway show performances and great views of the iconic floats. How could a network do this any better?
- Thanksgiving Day Parade -- CBS, Thursday, 9 a.m.
Oh ... hey CBS, didn't see you there ... yeah, you guys cover the parade pretty well, too ... I guess ...
- The National Dog Show -- NBC, Thursday, noon
The National Dog Show is the best part of Thanksgiving, if only because it affirms each year that Best in Show -- with its funny-looking dogs, frumpy handlers and British play-by-play commentators -- is the most accurate movie of all time.
Lady Gaga and The Muppets' Holiday Spectacular -- ABC, Thursday, 9:30 p.m.
This feels like such a mismatched combo at first, but I think it's going to work.
All right, I'll just take any excuse to see the Muppets.
- Treme -- HBO, Sunday, 9 p.m.
David Simon's (the creator of The Wire) jazz-fueled drama about post-Katrina New Orleans will start its final season on Sunday.
Rush: Clockwork Angels Tour -- Palladia, Sunday, 9 p.m.
People like Rush, right?
