Anything for love ... from Albert Bredenhann on Vimeo.

When Gerdi McKenna learned she had breast cancer, one devoted friend decided to organize a photo shoot for McKenna surrounded by her closest friends.

Unbeknownst to McKenna, her friends were planning more than just a few simple photos; they each decided to shave their heads in solidarity with their ailing friend.

South African photographer and videographer Albert Brendenhann captured the group's surprise in a moving video. The clip below highlights the many reasons the women in McKenna's life chose to shave their heads in her honor. “My heart is full,” McKenna's sister told Brendenhann. “If I can do just a little bit for her to feel better, I will do it with love.”

The video peaks when McKenna meets her friends for the photo shoot, only to realize what they've done for her. Her story is a testament to strong friendships in times of vulnerability and the power of simple acts of kindness.

Brendenhann shared a image of this stirring moment on Instagram.
