Rapper 50 Cent says if boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. can read aloud just one page out of a Harry Potter book without stopping or otherwise messing up, he will donate $750,000 to a charity of Mayweather's choice.
It must be fun having money.
The two apparently have a long-standing feud, which was stoked earlier this week when Mayweather apparently ripped 50 cent during an interview with MLive. Mayweather ridiculed certain rappers for keeping on long after they have ceased being relevant, and while he never specifically mentioned 50 Cent or T.I., it's widely believed he was aiming right at them. He has had issues with both.
"I'm relevant. I'm relevant ... I'm something to talk about," Mayweather said. "What's so crazy is this: You know, when people are not relevant, and they're not moving units like they were once moving ... you've got to realize, I've been relevant for 18 years."
Mr. Cent responded by posting on Instagram, "I will donate $750,000 to a charity of your choice, If you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping or (expletive) up. lmao," he wrote in the caption.
Power 105's 'The Breakfast Club' radio show in New York then helped substantiate rumors Mayweather can't read well by playing a promo Mayweather once did for the station, in which it took him two minutes to read what the radio host read in 10 seconds.
That's not cool. Nor is it smart, considering Mayweather beats people up for a living.
