LOWELL -- With this year's Lowell Summer Music Series lineup almost complete, organizers this week announced that season passes are now available.
All information is available at the Season Pass button at the top of the LSMS web site home page (www.lowellsummermusic.org) and the page is active for sales. The cost is $380 for $16 shows, or less than $24 per show. The full price to attend each show would be $578, so the $380 price represents a 33 percent discount.
This year's lineup begins with Ziggy Marley on Thursday, June 19, the first of a three-night opening weekend that continues with Delta Rae on June 20 and Amos Lee on June 21. The following weekend features Lucinda Williams (June 27) and Neko Case on June 28.
After a one-week break for July 4 weekend, the series resumes with Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue on July 10 and Andrew Bird on July 12. Barenaked Ladies come to Boarding House Park on July 19.
The series takes the following weekend for the 28th annual Lowell Folk Festival, before resuming with Howie Day and Carbon Leaf on Saturday, Aug. 2. The line-up continues with Marcia Ball on Aug. 8 and Gregg Allman on Aug. 9.
The next weekend offers another triple play with JJ Grey and Mofro on Aug. 14, Ben Taylor, Heather Maloney and Adam Ezra on Aug. 15 and Lyle Lovett and his Large Band on Aug. 16.
Peter Wolf and the Midnight Travelers come to Lowell on Aug. 22 and Classic Albums Live: Abbey Road plays Boarding House Park on Sept. 5.
