GROTON -- Thomas Oesterling, tenor, and Sylvia Berry, fortepiano, explore the early days of art song and the development of the piano in "Ein Liederabend" (An Evening of Song), the last concert in the Groton School's Gammons Concert Series, on Thursday, May 1, at 7 p.m.

The concert will feature music of Haydn, C. P. E. Bach, Beethoven, and Schubert, accompanied by Groton's historic Shudi and Broadwood harpsichord, a modern Steinway, and a fortepiano from 1806.

The event is free and open to the public, and will take place in the Edward B. Gammons Recital Hall, Schoolhouse, 282 Farmers Row.
