NASHUA -- Easter celebration festivities are kicking off at Pheasant Lane Mall this weekend. Photos with the Easter Bunny begin Saturday, March 22, at 10 a.m. and will run daily through April 19. The presenting sponsor is Gymboree.

Pheasant Lane Mall's Caring Bunny event will offer families that have children with special needs a subdued environment to participate in the photo experience. Caring Bunny has been developed by SPG and is guided by AbilityPath.org, a national online resource hub and special needs community. On Sunday, April 13, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., steps will be taken to reduce sensory triggers, creating a more comforting environment for the children. The steps are likely to include: turning off in-mall music, stopping escalators near the photo set, dimming the lights and shutting down fountains; eliminating queue lines through the use of a numbering system; and conducting special activities geared toward the needs of the children while they wait.

The Simon Kidgits Club will also host a Bunny Hop event on Saturday, April 5, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., where kids can participate in craft-making activities and games. Participants will receive a complimentary Easter bucket and bunny ears as keepsakes.
