LOWELL -- The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell will hold a fundraiser from 1 to 6 p.m. at Brian's Ivy Hall, 74 Merrimack St., for its Music Clubhouse program. The suggested donation is $5 at the door.
In partnership with Tunes for Tots, the club will present performing artists from Greater Boston to inspire local kids to get involved in the new Music Clubhouse program. The afternoon event is all-ages and family-friendly.
The evening event, from 6 to 10 p.m., is for a 21+ audience only and will feature some of Lowell's best bands, including Alligator Wine, Hal Holiday, and Unholy III.
The Music Clubhouse is a collaboration with the Music & Youth Initiative of Boston, which partners with nonprofit youth-serving organizations to develop high quality music programs. Programming will focus on group lessons in guitar, keyboards, drums, voice, and recording, open studio time, special events and a mentoring program.
