LOWELL -- The Pollard Memorial Library has partnered with Film Movement, Inc. to bring award-winning, independent and foreign films to its screen in the ground floor meeting room at 401 Merrimack St., on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The Jan. 9 showing will be Three Worlds, a 2012 drama by Catherine Corsini in French with English subtitles.
Three Worlds tells the story of Al, who, while coming back from his bachelor party, commits a hit-and-run. When he goes to the hospital to inquire anonymously about his victim, he is recognized by Juliette, who witnessed the accident. They get to know each other better, and Juliette becomes a mediator between Al and the the victim's unsuspecting wife Véra. However, romantic feelings between Juliette and Al start to arise.
