LOWELL -- D'Youville Life & Wellness Community honored four individuals and two organizations at its 11th annual Lasting Impressions dinner, held Nov.7 at the Westford Regency Inn and Conference Center. The evening's guest speaker was Col. Tim Alben, superinetendent of the Massachusetts State Police, one of the three top law enforcement officials who headed the investigation following the Boston Marathon bombings, leading to the capture of the surviving suspect. He talked about interagency collaboration, the importance of taking advantage of opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of others, and cited the evening's honorees as prime examples of how people and organizations can make a difference in today's world.
