After starting the Dracut Major Baseball League season with four straight losses, the Red Sox weren't on anyone's championship radar. But the boys in red put together a remarkable 12-game winning streak to win the title with a convincing 11-7 win over the Dodgers. A combination of excellent batting by the bottom of the order and timely hitting led the Red Sox to this exciting victory.
"I'm so proud of these kids," said an exuberant Head Coach Jason Keefe. "Despite our tough season start, they never gave up and believed in each other. Tonight's game was a perfect example. We fell behind early 3-0 but came right back to take the lead with 5 runs and played with confidence."
Congratulations to both teams for great seasons and terrific performances. All the coaches, players and families of Dracut Baseball ask that you send your prayers to the Ripley family. Bruce Ripley remains in critical condition after a car accident. Our thoughts and best wishes are with him.
