-The Dracut Major Baseball League held its Home Run Derby and All Star Game at Dillon McAnespie Park. All league players were invited to take their best shots in the hitting contest. Participants were given 10 swings each and awarded points based on the locations where the ball landed. The top 10 players advanced to the finals where Jack Beal (11- year-old) and Cam McCullough (12-year-old) were crowned the Home Run Kings.

The All Star game featured the top three players from each team with the National team represented by the Mets, Dodgers, Braves and Astros. The American team was made up of the Orioles, Mariners, White Sox and Red Sox. The American League squeaked by their National League counterparts 5-4.
