DRACUT -- Shaw Farm held its second annual Ice Cream Festival on Saturday, June 23. Kids and family members had plenty of fun at the event, which featured barn tours, hay rides, face painting, artist caricatures and milk bottle sand art.

But the highlight of the day and favorite feature for all the kids was the ice-cream eating contest. Youngsters had three minutes to eat as much ice cream as they could from a one-pound bowl. Lilly King blew away her competitors to take the title with Meghan Carney finishing second. The kids were happy they could finish whatever ice cream they had left after the competition-- though some needed help from Mom and Dad to finish. Thanks to all the Shaw Farm employees for a wonderful day!
