Elks Chairwoman Mindy Westberry of Westford proudly shows off all the food collected.

The remarkable Chelmsford Elks Lodge #2310 hosted a fun and free Cabin Fever Dance Party on Feb. 16 to benefit the Chelmsford and Westford food pantries.

More than 80 stir-crazy dance fans shimmied and sang the night away to the return of rock band Glass Eyed Monkey!

The Elks' motto is "Elks Care - Elks Share," and they most certainly do both for so many worthwhile charities throughout the year.

The Elks' pretty go-to girl, Mindy Westberry, the hard-working chairwoman of activities, veterans and community, created the unique event. She instructed gracious Elks members and their guests to bring perishable items that evening, along with their favorite delicious dish! And, oh boy, was there an abundance - more than 300 donations of food and $315 raised from a raffle that evening for the local pantries to buy more food!

Congratulations, Chelmsford Elks and all the members for continuously caring and sharing for so many in need.
