HUDSON, N.H. -- A domestic incident Thursday evening led to the arrest of a 29-year-old local man on an arson charge.

According to a press release from the police department, law enforcement responded to 53 Mobile Drive around 9:20 for a domestic disturbance.

The owner of the residence said her son was out of control and may be damaging the home. Upon arrival on scene, officers observed the trailer home filling with black smoke. Officers banged on the door and eventually a male party answered. He was identified as Bryan Huntress. He was evacuated from the dwelling. The owner was located away from the trailer and safe. Officers alerted nearby trailer residents as well to evacuate.

The Hudson Fire Department responded and put down the fire. Members of the Hudson Fire Department and Hudson Police Department began a joint investigation of the incident and cause of the fire. Huntress was subsequently arrested for arson by the Hudson Police.

Huntress was held on $25,000 cash bail overnight pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court Friday.
