CAMBRIDGE -- A Lowell man has been indicted on charges he stabbed a Lawrence man to death on July 10.
Robert Weidman, 50, of Lowell, is charged with murder in the first degree, armed assault with intent to rob, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.
The victim, Risiannery Bienvenido, 27, died at Lahey Clinic in Burlington the next morning. (The victim was initially identified as Hector Almedina.)
Police said the stabbing occurred during an attempted robbery, It is not clear where the stabbing took place; Lowell police received a 911 call and found the victim on Woburn Street.
