TYNGSBORO -- Long Meadow's Caitlin Barry sank a dramatic 15-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a sudden death playoff to win the Women's City Golf Tournament championship for the fourth time on Saturday.
Barry and Anne Windhol of Nabnasset Lake GC ended up regulation play at Vesper Country Club tied at 7-over par 79, forcing the sudden death playoff.
Four players had a chance to win the tournament coming down the stretch, as Windhol was in the clubhouse early with her 79 while Barry, former champ Cheryl Popp and former champ Clarissa Samuels were playing the last two holes with a chance to tie.
Barry, a Lowell resident previously won the Cities in 2005, 2007 and 2009. She played college golf at Rollins College in Florida.
