BELMONT -- The seniors are coming back to town.

The Champions Tour and Belmont Country Club announced today that the Constellation Senior Players Championship will be held at the course in 2015.

Belmont Country Club is located west of Boston and home to a 6,855 yard, par-71 course. This is the first PGA Tour event that Belmont CC has hosted since the 1937 Belmont Country Club Match Play, won by Byron Nelson. World Golf Hall of Famer Donald Ross designed the original course, which has undergone various upgrades since, the most recent completed by Craig Schreiner in 2006.

The Champions Tour played in the Boston area for nearly 25 years at the Bank of America Championship, held at the Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord. This is the first time the Champions Tour will return to Massachusetts since the final Bank of America Championship in 2008, which was won by Jeff Sluman.

The 2015 Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS at Belmont Country Club will take place from June 8-14.
