BILLERICA - A 15-year-old boy with family in Billerica has been missing since Friday and police are concerned with his well-being.

Jacob Walker was last seen on Friday in Danvers, where he lives under the custody of Department of Children and Families (DCF). He hasn't contacted his grandparents in Billerica since he went missing.

Billerica Deputy Chief Roy Frost said Billerica police were notified about his disappearance on Monday.

"We're familiar with the individual who's had a significant past history of running away," Frost said. "We are concerned for his well-being based on the length of time he's been missing and the circumstances surrounding recent family issues. So we're working with DCF in an attempt to locate him."

Frost said they've received information that Walker is in the Billerica area, and they're following leads.

Walker is 5-feet, 5-inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. It's unknown what he might be wearing.

"He's only a baby so we've gotta find him," Donna Walker, his grandmother, said Wednesday night. He attended Billerica Memorial High School earlier this school year, according to his grandparents.

Anyone who sees Walker or who has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call their local police department.
