Pinch-hitter Brett Iannazzo ripped a two-out, two-run triple in the fifth inning to put Lowell Catholic ahead 6-5 as the Crusaders rallied from an early 5-1 deficit and defeated Marian, 8-5, on Thursday afternoon at Hadley Field.
Elsewhere, Lowell High was edged 4-3 by Methuen, which pulled off a triple play during the MVC meeting.

Evan Landry tossed a complete-game 2-hitter and fanned 8 to lead the Gryphons.
Angelo Pilato drove in 3 runs and played solid defense at shortstop. Collecting a hit each for the Gryphons (1-1) were Mike Murphy, Joshua Voulgaris, Matt Forestiere and Landry.

Sophomore right-hander Andrew Fisher pitched five shutout innings of relief for Lowell Catholic, allowing 2 hits and no walks, striking out 5.
Lowell Catholic's James Sullivan hit 2 triples, scored 3 runs and drove in one. Matt Franchi went 3-for-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. The Crusaders improved to 3-0.
Arlington Catholic 9, Shawsheen 3
Shawsheen junior catcher Tim Lavoie went 2-for-4 and threw out two runners trying to steal, and junior shortstop Ryan Collins had 2 hits, 2 RBI and scored a run.
Brendan O'Flaherty went 1-for-3 with 1 run scored. Shawsheen fell to 3-1.
Billerica 13, Dracut 6
Robbie Gambale pitched 4 innings for the win and also went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI at the plate for Billerica (1-1).
Cody Parsons (2-for-5, 2 RBI), Dylan McDonough (2-for-3, 3 RBI), Kyle Murphy (3-for-5, double, RBI) and Eric Eknaian (3-for-5, double) all had a big day for the Indians.

Archbishop Williams won on a walk-off infield hit in the bottom of the ninth inning after Austin Prep senior left fielder Jonathan Sauerman of Pelham, N.H., threw out a runner at the plate in the sixth inning to keep the score 2-2.
Austin Prep (3-1) scored its runs in the top of the first inning on an RBI double by Nick Mulcahy and RBI single by Chris Gagnon. Dan Monagle had 2 hits for AP.
Littleton 2, Lunenburg 1
Littleton pushed across two runs in the top of the seventh to break a scoreless tie, and then held on when host Lunenburg scored once in the bottom of the seventh.
Travis Bassett earned the win in relief of Matt Landers, who struck out 7 and allowed just 1 hit in his 5 innings of work.
Pete Murphy ripped an RBI triple and then scored on a single by Conor Moran for Littleton (2-0).
Andover 2, Chelmsford 1
Andover won it in the bottom of the seventh after Chelmsford tied it 1-1 in the sixth.
Andover made two great defensive plays that prevented Chelmsford runs: a diving catch turned into a double play in the fifth and a relay to cut down a Lions' run at the plate in the sixth.
Jesse Ashley pitched well for Chelmsford, going 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits and 2 walks. He struck out 3.
Mike DeDonato had 2 hits for the Lions. Mark Keller, Mike Tice, Derek Adamson (1 RBI) and Quinn Cooney each had 1 hit.
