STURBRIDGE -- State police arrested a Lowell man and a man from Florida early Thursday morning after a trooper reportedly found 135 grams of cocaine in their car during a traffic stop.
Angel Robles, 31, of Lowell, was driving down Route 84 eastbound when Trooper Thomas Rodger stopped his car around 1:45 a.m. Neither he nor his passenger, Julio Diaz Morales, 31, were licensed to drive.
A package of white powder, which police determined was cocaine, was found while the car was stopped, police said.
Robles was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to inspect, trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Morales was also charged with trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Both men were scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Dudley District Court. The results of the arraignments were not immediately available.
