TEWKSBURY -- Two Lawrence men who detectives observed conducting a drug deal Thursday outside the historic Dover House Inn on Main Street were arrested on multiple charges involving cocaine and heroin possession, Police Chief Tim Sheehan reported.

Oscar Rodriguez, 27, of 201 Lawrence St, Lawrence, and Angel Rosario, 25, of 201 Exchange St., Apt. 1, Lawrence, were taken into custody and charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, distribution of heroin, and conspiracy.

Detectives had the pair under surveillance at the Dover House, located at 970 Main St., at the time the drug transaction was observed, according to Sheehan.

Both suspects were scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Friday.
