LITTLETON -- Police are looking for three men involved in a violent robbery at Shell Travel Plaza gas station on King Street on early Thursday morning.
One of the two clerks who were inside the store at the time sustained minor injury but refused to received medical treatment, according to the Littleton Police Department.
The suspects walked into the gas station at 25 King St. by Ayer Road shortly after midnight and one of them brandished a large caliber automatic pistol at the two clerks behind the counter, Deputy Chief Matthew King said. Another man also had a handgun and the other had a knife. Two of the suspects jumped over the counter while the other ran around it to overwhelm the clerks.
The clerk who was hit in the head suffered a minor injury.
By using a K-9, police have determined that the suspects fled in a vehicle that they had parked around the corner from the store where it would not be visible from the store security camera. Police were also able to track the signal from one of the clerk's cell phone that the suspects stole to the Burnam Road area in Devens, but the signal ended there, King said.
All men had light-colored skin and are likely Caucasian, King said. They all had sweatshirt hoods tightly pulled around their faces, leaving only their eyes and nose visible, according to King. From the images of the surveillance camera, police assume that the suspects are 5'9"- to 6'-tall and between 18 and mid-20s in age.
