BILLERICA -- Marshall Middle School will have a new face patrolling the hallways soon.

Superintendent of Schools Tim Piwowar has announced that Michael Rossi, a middle school principal in Haverhill, has agreed to become the next principal of Marshall Middle School, beginning on July 1.

Rossi is the principal of the Dr. Paul Nettle Middle School in Haverhill and has been a principal in Haverhill since 2004. Rossi will be working to transition with Marshall Principal Roland Boucher during the spring, before Boucher's retirement.

The other finalists were Brent Conway, an elementary school principal in Melrose, and Andrew Hall, an assistant principal in Millbury.

Rossi will be formally introduced to the Billerica community at the next School Committee meeting on Monday, March 10, at 6 p.m. at Parker Elementary School.
