CONCORD (AP) -- Fire officials say two people have died in a three-alarm fire at their Concord home.

The occupants of the Nancy Road home had at first been listed as unaccounted for after the blaze reported at about 3 a.m. Friday by a passing snowplow driver.

Their bodies were recovered from the rubble later Friday.

Neighbors said the couple was in their 80s and had lived in the home for decades. No names were immediately released.

The home was fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived at the scene. Crews were not able to get inside and home was destroyed, with little left except for the chimney.

The state Fire Marshal says eight people have now died in fires in Massachusetts this year.
