Three people were taken to local hospitals after separate accidents on Interstate 495. All passengers escaped serious injuries.
About 12:55 a.m., state police responded to a report of a vehicle rollover on I-495 southbound in Andover. A 2004 Dodge Caravan, driven by Sonya Morton, 29, of Lawrence, rolled over on the median, according to state police. Both Morton and her passenger, Howard Bolduc, 30, of Methuen, were sent to Lawrence General Hospital with minor injuries. Morton received a citation. The accident remains under investigation.
About 6:05 a.m., state police responded a report of a single 0car crash on I-495 northbound in Tewskbury near Main Street. A 2001 Honda CRV, driven by Francesca Tapia, 26, of North Andover, had rolled over on the median, police said. Tapia was sent to Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus with non-life-threatening injuries. The left lane of the highway was closed until 6:22 a.m. The accident remains under investigation.
