BOSTON (AP) -- The price of a gallon of gas in Massachusetts has dropped another 3 cents, and has now fallen 13 cents in the past month.
AAA Southern New England reported Monday that self-serve, regular is selling for an average of $3.34 per gallon per gallon.
The current price is still 6 cents higher than the national average, but a full quarter lower than at the same time a year ago.
The cheapest price for regular-unleaded gasoline in Lowell is $3.26 at the Pace station on the corner of Lakeview Avenue and Aiken Street, according to gasbuddy.com.
AAA found a 39 cent price range for self-serve, regular from a low of $3.20 per gallon to a high of $3.59.
