The Dracut High School wrestling team had a very solid performance at the prestigious Connecticut Challenge Tournament, which draws strong teams from the New England and New York area.
The short-handed Middies finished sixth out of 15 teams.
Jaycee Hebert took second place at 182 pounds, losing in overtime in his championship match.
Jon Ryan (126 pounds) won four matches but suffered his first loss of the season and finished third. Andrew Valdina (113) finished fourth and Ryan Prestin (138) also finished in fourth place.
Peter Goulet (120), Dan O'Connell Jr. (132) and Scott MacNeill (170) also wrestled well for Dracut.

Junior Kate O'Shea scored 2 goals and added an assist as the Rams improved to 6-5-1 with the win in Peabody.
Kennedy Harper and Rachel Stocker both had a goal and 2 assists, while Rachel McLaren and Lee Faulkerson also scored goals and Alyssa Post added an assist.
Goalie Kirby Corcoran made 20 saves.

Senior Corey Greeley scored on a slapshot from the point with just 25 seconds left in the game to lift the Vikings (5-8-1) at Wallace Civic Center.
Jordan Gingras had 1 goal and 1 assist for Nashoba Tech, while sophomore Anthony Lopez had his first high school goal.
Carl Marzolini made 38 saves in the NT net.
Senior guard Jon Dor scored 16 points to lead the Patriots, who moved to 11-1 overall and 5-0 in DCL Small.
Sophomores Austin Hoey (11 points) and Eric Sellew (10 points) also contributed to the victory.
