BOSTON (AP) -- A two-alarm fire at a home in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston has claimed the life of an elderly woman.

The Boston Fire Department says the blaze broke out in the wood frame single family home around 7:45 p.m. Saturday. A man who lives in the house was at first unaccounted for but was found outside and was not seriously injured.

The woman was transported to the hospital in very serious condition and later died. Her name was not released Saturday night.

The fire department says they will investigate the blaze, along with Boston Police and the Suffolk County DA. The fire department says that is standard procedure.
