As sailors stood at attention and saluted, family members and friends gathered at Lowell s Westlawn Cemetery Tuesday to lay to rest U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Nathan Nissay of Dracut, who died Dec. 30 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Gov. Deval Patrick has ordered flags around the Commonwealth to be flown at half-staff on Tuesday in honor of a 19-year-old Dracut man, Navy Petty Officer Third Class Nathan Nissay, who died in New York state on Dec. 30.

Nissay, who graduated from Dracut High School in 2012, was attending classes at the Naval Propulsion Training Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., when he died.

He previously graduated from the U.S. Navy's Officer Nuclear Power School at the Naval Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command, in South Carolina.

Nissay is the son of Nissay Liek and Sonamaran Keo, of Dracut.

Nissay's cause of death remains unclear.
