NASHUA, N.H. (AP) -- New Hampshire police have two Nashua men in custody in connection with a near-fatal shooting last week.

Nashua police say the shooting took place during a drug transaction of multiple pounds of marijuana that turned into a robbery on Jan. 9.

Police say Alexandre Amado and Anthony Farmer, both 20, are in custody on various charges in connection with the shooting of 22-year-old Danny Vorn of Lowell, Mass., who remains in critical condition at Boston Medical Center.

Amado is charged with second-degree assault. Farmer is charged with armed robbery.

Amado was arraigned Thursday and is being held on $100,000 bond. Farmer is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.

It was not immediately known whether either man has a lawyer.
