BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) -- A search warrant indicates that police think former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez was inside an SUV that carried out an unsolved drive-by shooting in Boston that killed two people in 2012.
The warrant does not indicate who is believed to have pulled the trigger or suggest a motive.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in connection with last year's shooting death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd.
The warrant provides some of the first details of Hernandez's alleged link to the shooting that killed Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and Safiro Teixeira Furtado in Boston's South End. No charges have been filed in that case.
The warrant, first reported by The Hartford Courant, was filed in Bristol, Conn., for phone calls a Hernandez associate made from jail.
