Steve Maxim scored a pair of goals in the second period to help power Dracut past Newton South, 4-2, in a MVC/DCL game on Saturday at the Janas Rink.

Mat McKinnon and Brian Smith also scored goals for Dracut.

Assists went to Kyle Maxim, Reed Bourgeois, Ricky Beckwith, Mick Hayward and Justin Lange. Goalie Pat Carney came up with 26 saves to post the win for DHS (2-1-0).

Nashua North 4

Bishop Guertin 2

Nashua North scored the go-ahead goal with three minutes remaining.

Connor Donahue of Groton and John Krapian of Lowell scored in the second period for Bishop Guertin (1-2-0). Justin Pearson assisted on Donahue's goal. Jason Lutcza and Jordan Caito assisted on Krapian's goal.

Nick Apostolakes of Groton played well defensively for the Cardinals.

Lunenburg/Ayer 7

Gardner 1

Jeff Kerr and Dan Baldino scored a pair of goals each for the Lunenburg/Ayer-Shirley (2-0) co-op team at the Wallace Civic Center. Kevin Codrey, Tom Wagner and Ryan Martone added one goal each.

Next up, the Blue Knights will host the Mark Bushnoe Memorial Christmas Tournament on Friday and Saturday at the Civic Center in Fitchburg.

Josh Rabbit recorded a hat trick and James Tardif and Justin Cole added one goal each as the Crusaders (1-1) defeated Fitchburg/Monty Tech at the Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg.

Derek March had 2 assists, as G-D scored 4 goals in the first period.

Wilmington 2

Lexington 1

Wilmington's Cody McGowan scored in the second period to tie the game, and Steve DeFuria scored the game-winner early in the third.

Luke Foley and Jim Davey assisted on McGowan's goal. Bill Falter and Austin O'Neal assisted on DeFuria's goal. Davey also played a strong game on defense.

Wilmington goalie Drew Foley made 17 saves. The Wildcats improved to 1-1-1.

Oakmont 4

Greg Lizotte scored for Littleton (0-2-1) on assists from David Peterson and Sabi Weissenberger.

Goalie Tommy Angell also played well in the loss.

North Andover 3

Tewksbury 1

Ryan Meade scored an unassisted goal for Tewksbury with 7:21 left to cut North Andover's lead to 2-1. But North Andover went on to win 3-1, dropping the Redmen to 1-1-0.

Tewksbury outshot North Andover 26-15.

Brendan Flynn and Brennan LaGrassa each scored 2 goals for Bedford (2-0-0), and Ethan Miller also scored. Jack Citrano had 2 assists.

Boston Latin 0

Senior Alyssa Ware had 1 goal and 1 assist, and Katie Hargrave, Sarah Lizotte, Kelsey Doran and Lexi Popp also scored for Westford (2-0-0) in this game at Matthews Arena.

Lindsay MacDonald had 2 assists. Westford junior goalie Kerry Pouliot stopped all four shots she faced.

Andover 4

Chelmsford 2

Chelmsford trailed 2-0 after one period before goals by Rachel Bossi and Julianne Sheehan tied it 2-2 after two periods. Assists went to Allison Beals, Devon Livingston and Rachel Hopkins.

The Lions fell to 1-2 early in the season.
