TEWKSBURY -- A 31-year-old Dracut woman was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk after her vehicle struck a 75-year-old Billerica woman in the parking lot of Stadium Plaza in Tewksbury Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the parking lot at 12:25 p.m., where the driver, whose name was not released, told officers she stopped at a stop sign, took a left turn and didn't see the woman, who was walking in a crosswalk, according to Chief Timothy Sheehan.

The victim was taken to Lowell General Hospital/Saints Campus, with non life-threatening injuries, according to police.

State police from the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section helped Tewksbury police reconstruct the accident scene.
