HUDSON, N.H. -- Firefighters stopped a one-alarm fire in the basement of a home on Rangers Drive in Hudson on Wednesday, containing fire damage to the area where the blaze began.

Crews were called to 61 Rangers Road at 12:08 p.m., after residents of the home reported a smoke condition in the basement, according to Capt. David Morin.

The basement was filled with smoke when firefighters arrived, so they took a hose line into the building and made sure no one remained inside.

The blaze was brought under control within 15 minutes. No injuries were reported.

The cause remains under investigation.
