TYNGSBORO -- Police responded to Lakeview Avenue Monday afternoon after an alarm was received for an attempted house break-in.
Tyngsboro Police Chief Richard Howe said an officer responded to 65B Lakeview Ave. around 1:50 p.m. Monday and found one or more suspects had attempted to enter the house through a rear window. Howe said the officer was concerned the perpetrator may have been inside the house at that time and drew his gun.
However, responding officials found no suspects in the area and said the suspect or suspects may have left in a vehicle.
Howe noted a small tool was used to pry the rear window open.
Police cleared the Lakeview Avenue area just before 3 p.m. Howe said an investigation is ongoing at this time.
