BEVERLY -- Two Dracut residents, Craig Lussier and Seth Monbleau, are making an impact for the Endicott College football team this fall. And they happen to be cousins.
Lussier is a senior captain and linebacker who has 33 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 7 games for the 5-2 Gulls.
Last year he was an NEFC second-team selection and an Academic All-Conference honoree, starting all 11 games and ranking third on the team in tackles. He also played as a freshman and sophomore.
Off the field, Lussier has participated in community service opportunities such as helping out at homeless shelters, going to church retreats, and doing landscape work at a local elementary school. He recently completed an internship with the Lowell Police Dept.
At Dracut he was second-team MVC All-Conference on a team that won a state championship.
Monbleau is a sophomore linebacker who has played in three games and has an interception. He played four games last year as a freshman.
A two-time MVC All-Star while at Dracut and a member of the National Honor Society, Monbleau was also on a Super Bowl winning team with the Middies.
Lussier's sister Sarah and Monbleau's sister Taylor both also attended Endicott.
