Deadline changes for election

TEWKSBURY -- Tewksbury Town Clerk Denise Graffeo announced changes to deadlines for the 2019 Annual Town Election. The deadline to submit nomination papers is now Friday, Feb. 15. The last day to withdraw nomination papers is Tuesday, March 5.

The dates have changed, according to Graffeo, "due to guidance recently received from the Elections Division of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. For more information, contact the Town Clerk's Office at 978-640-4355.


Circle Health hosts open house

TEWKSBURY -- Circle Health Tewksbury is hosting an open house on Saturday, Feb. 16. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at 1574 Main St.

The free event includes a tour of the facility and chance to learn about services provided. There will also be raffle prizes from local businesses, family activities and health screenings.

Media artists lecture in Lowell

LOWELL -- The Artists Working Group is hosting a lecture featuring media artists Walter Wright and Jan Johnson.


The event is Wednesday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Arts League of Lowell Gallery, located at 307 Market St.

Wright is a media artist who works with sound, movement and images. Johnson is a textile artist and printmaker. Johnson teaches printmaking and drawing at UMass Lowell.


Letendre honored over dinner

LOWELL -- Ste Jeanne d'Arc School is recognizing Assistant Principal Monique Letendre at its Elisabeth Bruyére Awards Dinner. The dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 at Lenzi's, located at 810 Merrimack Ave. in Dracut.

Letendre is being honored for her 32 years of work at the school. The award recognizes people in the community who have shown generosity, openness and caring through their lifestyle.

Trivia Night at Chelmsford Elks

CHELMSFORD -- The Friends of Nashoba are hosting the third annual Trivia Night on Friday, March 1, at the Chelmsford Elks to benefit scholarships and technical grants for Nashoba Valley Technical High School seniors graduating this June.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and Trivia Night will run from 7:30 to 10:30. Tickets are $20, which includes dinner. There will also be raffles and prizes. Trivia Night is for those 21 and older.
