Meet and greet Prinzivalli

WILMINGTON -- Pina Prinzivalli, a Republican candidate for state representative, will host two meet-and-greet events in Wilmington.

The first is Saturday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to noon at Panera Bread, located at 228 Main St. The second is Wednesday, May 30 from 7 to 8:30 p.m., also at Panera Bread.

These are not fundraising events.

Hawaiian Holiday on Friday

TEWKSBURY -- The Tewksbury Senior Center is hosting its Silver Tones "3rd Friday" event called "Hawaiian Holiday" on Friday, May 18. Aside from dancing to the music from the 20-piece band, attendees can participate in a 50/50 raffle. Scratch tickets will also be won by those who show up in floral or Hawaiian tops.

People are encouraged to bring along their own beverages and snacks, but cake, coffee and tea will be served.

Tickets are $10 per person and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Spring picnic in Billerica

BILLERICA -- The annual Parker Family Spring Picnic will take place this Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

More than 500 elementary school students and families are expected to attend the fundraising event at Parker Elementary School in Billerica.

There will be games, raffles, activities and a barbecue picnic.

The yearly event raises money for the school's parent teacher organization, the Parker PTO. The money goes toward educational programming, community events and school materials, such as magazines and books.

Campaign kickoff for Green

LITTLETON -- Third Congressional District candidate Rick Green will host a campaign kickoff event Tuesday evening as election season ramps up.

Green, the only Republican in the race, officially will mark the start of his campaign, although he does not face any opposition in the Sept. 4 primary.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the 1A Auto Parts Distribution Center in Littleton. Green is the company's co-founder and CEO.

Dracut COA hosts spa day

DRACUT -- The Dracut Council on Aging is hosting an Annual Spa Day from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. The event is free of charge.

Drive-up BBQ dinner on menu

GROTON -- Christian Union Church will not hold a public supper in May, but it is planning its second annual drive-up chicken barbecue for Saturday, June 9. The barbecue is prepared by retired firefighters from the West Groton station and will be served starting at 4 p.m., until the chicken sells out (which was 45 minutes last year). Park in front of the church at 37 West Main St., place your order, pick it up and you're off. The meal includes potato salad and coleslaw and costs $9.
